Dr John Elder has practised in Sydney since 1983, specialising in cataract and refractive surgery.

He is a graduate of Sydney University and set up the first Ophthalmic Day Surgery in Australia after 10 years further experience in the UK and USA.

Dr Elder is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists and a Founding Member of the Australian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He participates in teaching and mentoring the latest techniques in cataract surgery.

Dr Elder is actively involved with ophthalmologists training in developing countries. His passionate goal is to improve the sight of all Australians.
