Dr Elizabeth Livingstone is a specialist in eye surgery and eye condition management and is now one of Australia’s most highly regarded Ophthalmologists. She has developed a special interest in the treatment of retinal diseases, glaucoma and oculoplastics, with experience in cosmetic surgery (She became a founding Fellow of the Australian College of Cosmetic Surgery (ACCS)). She attends retinal society meetings regularly both in Australia and overseas, principally in the United States and Europe.
Dr. Livingstone graduated as a physician and surgeon from the University of Melbourne and has worked extensively as a specialist Ophthalmologist in Australia and overseas. Some of her extensive qualifications include Australian Certificate of Civil Aviation Medicine (ACCAM) and with an appointment as a Designated Aviation Ophthalmologist (DAO) has been instrumental in bringing colour vision assessment into the 21st century. Dr Livingstone has completed the Early Management of Severe Trauma (EMST) and the Definitive Surgical Trauma Course (including military module) as run by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. While serving with the Royal Australian Navy, Dr Livingstone completed the Staff Acquaint Course at Australian Command and Staff College, Canberra.
